Awww, I like it for sure!!! I am only just getting more adept with M3D...It's been quite a challenge but when I decided not to try to emulate the Masters out there, give up trying to build cities and such, it got less stressful and now I think I am beginning to find my own "groove"...

I also like it when folks (such as yourself) write a few words about the image... I do that too... :D

You are most welcome, my dear... I have asked mr Hal Tenny a few times about things and he is very quick to answer... Right now I have another Q. for him, an easy one I hope, about white areas being too bright and thereby ruining an image- wah- But we are both in the beginner/Noobie stages, I have been poking at M3D for maybe 3 years off and on, but only now my work is beginning to show signs of improvement... Thanks- who is Mr Hal Tenny is he the Mandlebulb creator I have never heard of him, you have been using  mandlebulb longer than I have for maybe a year and half now not certain and bright areas i am not sure maybe it is solved with using map files might help maybe I   am what you say noobie always remember with lots of  practice  you gain perfection  in deed.

LOL, no, Mr Tenny didn't create Mandelbulb 3D but he is an expert who creates some of the most beautiful of 3D images you will ever find anywhere. Just look him up sometime around dA and be amazed... :omfg: About the bright areas, he has told me to use the Diffuse Light slider under Object, also experiment with Gamma which I have not used much but you can bet I will now, lol. Sometimes Hard Shadows are a help, I have not had much luck with that, they seem too dark but maybe with a bit more adjusting with the other tabs, things will look better and I can avoid what I call "burnout" (being a photographer for maaaannny years)... Map files are fun but they can be difficult to use, sometimes good results come with a lot of play with the sliders, other times it's no good, but as you say, lots of practice... Positional and Volumetric Lighting escape me, they are more for the professionals! I watched a video about positional lighting but I was like , :baffled:

HaHa, the Fog was one of my biggest problems but now, it is somewhat easier to use... I was almost literally pulling my hair over it! But the more you experiment with it the more you see how it works. The Dynamic fog in the Navigator, however, is something I'm not certain just how to use... Mr Tenny says he also has a Wordpress site, you can also look for him there...I'm going to do that right away :D
